Hakutsuru Sake Brewing won three Grand Gold Medals at the 2010 Monde Selection, based in Brussels, Belgium, in the Spirits and Liqueurs category for three Hakutsuru Premium Sake products: Junmai Dai-Ginjo Hakutsurunishiki, Junmai Dai-Ginjo Sho-Une, and Junmai Dai-Ginjo Yamada-Ho, all in 720ml bottles.
Phantom of the brewer's rice "Minoru Yamada"
Varieties obtained by the Hyogo Prefecture to pure line selection Minoru Yamada is a native breed in the Taisho era, new Minoru Yamada No. 1 is the official name.
Until 1936, it had been widely cultivated in Hyogo Prefecture as brewing rice suitable. Nishiki Yamada is said to be king of sake rice is a breed that has been artificially bred in Hyogo Prefecture, in 1923 this Minoru Yamada as a mother.
