Hakutsuru White is a low-alcohol junmai sake brewed by the Hakutsuru House founded in 1743 near the city of Nada in the Hyogo region.
Composed of water, rice and koji, this sake is made with a variety of japonica round rice specially developed and cultivated by the brewery from which it takes its name: Hakutsuru Nishiki. Its round and fruity profile reveals notes of apple and pear on the nose, then a hint of acidity with a touch of lime on the palate.
Hakutsuru White is a refreshing sake to be enjoyed as an aperitif or with nutty cheeses such as Gouda or Gruyere.
